EASTKAP is the boutique law practice of Daniel Wagner, Attorney at Law, based in Berlin. The brand EASTKAP continues from a Partnerschaftsgesellschaft mbB in which Daniel Wagner previously served as partner.
Every step of every mandate is run with current language models and specialised legal software. This produces a depth of analysis per mandate that conventionally structured matters could not deliver economically, and a fee structure based on fixed pricing rather than open-ended hourly billing.
This same way of working is also the basis of the firm's second line of business — advisory for in-house legal teams and law firms looking to introduce the same tools into their own practice.
Every client is looked after personally by Daniel Wagner. There is no anonymous handover of files and no outsourcing to associate teams. The firm is deliberately kept small so that each client has a single point of contact.
For matters outside the firm's core expertise — tax, criminal, employment, notarial and international law — the firm cooperates with selected partner law firms. Every such engagement is discussed openly in advance; the client retains EASTKAP as principal point of contact.
Remuneration is agreed either under the German Lawyers' Fees Act, on an hourly basis, or as a flat fee. For defined deliverables — contracts, review mandates, due diligence work, AI services packages — fixed fees are agreed. Details are fixed in writing before the mandate begins.

Daniel Wagner advises corporates, foundations and high-net-worth individuals on commercial and corporate matters. His practice combines mandate experience from two international law firms and one in-house position with a deep, hands-on engagement with artificial intelligence in legal work.
This engagement is not theoretical. He uses the leading language models and specialised legal software daily in mandate work and has designed and implemented internal contract analysis, research and compliance workflows in several mandates and in-house projects. That experience now drives both EASTKAP business lines — AI-augmented mandate work and advisory for in-house legal teams and law firms introducing the same tools.
